When you enter the Retezova Residence, you can see how the building has developed in the course of centuries. While the ground floor features well-preserved Gothic vaults and authentic stone door jambs, the upper floors display magnificent painted Renaissance wooden ceilings dating from the early 17th century. The Retezova Residence will enchant lovers of romance in particular, since its intricately articulated space contains intimate corners, mysterious staircases running up or down and leading to cosy bedrooms.
